McGehee and Jets fans will get their first look at the team in action on Friday when Oxford comes to Madison City Schools Stadium for a 7 p.m. jamboree. The varsity squads will compete in the first half with junior varsity play after intermission. “Gio is a special talent for sure,” McGehee said. “We’re glad to have him here. He’s got some new faces to distribute the ball around to this year. He was really good last year and he’s going to play at a high level.”
“I’m excited about where we are this summer in our second year here. We had a good offseason from an installation standpoint, utilizing the time we had to work. We’re pretty athletic up front and that bodes well for us with the scheme we run.”
