James Gunn addresses whether or not all the DC Universe characters will be recast following the announcement about the future of Henry Cavill's Superman. Last week, it was revealed that Gunn is writing a new Superman movie, which won't star Cavill as the Man of Steel. Due to that, there have been a lot of questions about other DCU cast members and whether their characters will be recast.

Out of the upcoming DCU movies that could potentially have longevity in Gunn and Safran's new universe is Blue Beetle. Even though it has been suggested that it will be rooted in the ongoing DCU, it has never been specified if there will be characters from the other films. If the film is successful but doesn't have any connections to the old franchise, Gunn could make the Blue Beetle franchise part of his new continuity.
When it comes to Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, there is still a chance she may continue, but have less to do with the Patty Jenkins' series. But if a new Superman is coming, and most definitively a different Batman, the Themyscira heroine will likely get reimagined, with another actress. Even though a movie reboot is definitely what they are doing in some capacity, time will tell if it's a complete start over or a soft reset.
