TV chef James Martin split up with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli after a 'spur of the moment' decision that he claims was a 'defining moment' in their relationship
James Martin ended his relationship with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli over a lavish "spur of the moment" gift that he claims summed up a problem between them.
Although James has enjoyed plenty of success as a chef and on TV, he said that he knew there was an imbalance with Barbara, a Hollywood heavyweight who was friends with some of the world's biggest movie stars, and thought it could never work. James, who recently had treatment for facial cancer, told The Mail: "It wasn’t as if it was my birthday or Christmas – it was just a spur of the moment thought. In the end I said, ‘If I want something, I’ll work for it. Just drop it or we’re going to fall out over this’."
