Archie Gray was a revelation in Leeds United's promotion push last season
Jamie O'Hara has doubled down on his criticism of Tottenham for signing Archie Gray from Leeds United. Gray earned his £40m move to North London after starring at Elland Road last term.
But outspoken talkSPORT pundit O'Hara criticised Spurs' summer recruitment drive in the wake of their 1-0 loss to Arsenal. Posting on social media account X, O'Hara wrote: "Give me Aaron Lennon, Huddlestone, Keane, Defoe, Van de vaart over any of these any day of the week. We sign players from Bournemouth, Burnley Leeds and Forest then expect Championship results. #spurs. Heads gone.
"Brennan Johnson good player, a young player, Nottingham Forest, done the business of Forest. We signed him for £50 million. He looks miles off it, miles off it. And then I look at him and go, Archie Gray, good player. He’s from Leeds. It’s a Championship player. And we signed Odobert from Burnley.
"Have we signed a top player from Barcelona or Atletico Madrid, or are we going to get someone who’s actually at the level of where we want to be in the Champions League? Because we don’t sign anyone from any big clubs, but expect the boys we sign to perform like they’re at a Champions League team. We ain’t good. Simple as that. You can play good football, but you can’t put the ball in the back of it.
