Jamie Oliver has shared a few simple steps that will help you prepare the ' perfect roast potato ' that stays soft and fluffy inside but crisp outside.
The chef recommends parboiling your peeled spuds in salted, boiling water. Then cook them for about ten minutes before pouring the potatoes into a colander. But don't hang your oven gloves up once you've followed these instructions, as there's another important step."Place the potato masher on top, and then just let it pop and let the lovely starchy inside just puff out. Just do that around the whole tray and then pop it back in for another 10 minutes," he recommends. "Crispy and fluffy."
