Janey Godley has taken to social media to share an update with her followers after bagging herself a comedy award.
The Glaswegian took to Instagram to announce that she had won the 'comedians comedian' at the Chortle Awards adding that she was feeling "very chuffed." She later shared a separate video thanking people, joking that she 'almost had to die' to win the award. In the Instagram video she said: "I am actually getting my chemotherapy right now and I want to thank everybody who voted me for Comedians' Comedian. I've not done comedy in a year so I think yous are very misguided but thanks everybody this is fairly lifted me up and I cannae wait to see you all."I'm sure I will run into my comedy pals. This is such a lovely, lovely honour and it's obvious had I had to almost die to get it. But you know, that's comedy for ya.
