An XMen fan art imagines Supernatural's Jensen Ackles as comic-accurate Cyclops. Artist: 21xfour
A new striking fan art makes the case for the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of X-Men's Cyclops to be played by actor Jensen Ackles. After starring in many popular projects over the years , Ackles has become a hot name when it comes to casting speculation on superhero movies and TV shows.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Digital artist 21XFOUR shared a pretty convincing look at Ackles' possible take on the MCU's Cyclops. While the proper X-Men introduction in the MCU still appears to be at least a few years away, the mutants from Marvel Comics are already slowly beginning to join the cinematic franchise. Namor and Kamala Khan are the MCU's first mutants, and iconic characters from the Fox X-Men franchise, such as Professor Charles Xavier, Deadpool, and Wolverine have either appeared or are set to show up in-universe during the coming years.
In terms of Marvel, Ackles has not managed to secure a role yet, but the actor has come close to a couple of high-profile heroes over the years. Reportedly, Ackles was offered to play Hawkeye in the MCU, and the actor also recently revealed at a convention that he was in talks with Fox to play Deadpool before Ryan Reynolds was brought in.
How The X-Men Could Join The MCU? Professor Charles Xavier, Wolverine, Deadpool, and even Evan Peters' Quicksilver have made the jump to the MCU, signaling the change that is about to happen in Marvel Studios. The Multiverse Saga is headed for a grand finale in Avengers: Secret Wars, and that movie could start the MCU's new mutant chapter.
