In the second half, Jeudy stayed hot. He drew a 40-yard pass interference penalty on fourth-and-four in the fourth quarter, which set up his seven-yard touchdown catch from backup Brett Rypien to bring the Broncos within six points with 10:49 to go. “Jerry was running the back line route, and we had Greg on the shallow,” Rypien said. “Really the whole read is based on the back-side safety. If he cuts the shallow route, you throw the back line… cut the shallow cross and I was able to fit it over the linebacker for a touchdown.”
Jeudy was the lone true starter for the Broncos at receiver on Sunday. Courtland Sutton and KJ Hamler were both sidelined by hamstring injuries and Tim Patrick is still recovering from a torn ACL he sustained in training camp. Kendall Hinton had five catches for 38 yards, but besides that, the majority of the Broncos’ aerial attack ran through Jeudy , Dulcich and tailback Marlon Mack .
“It means a lot, especially just knowing was the anniversary for that,” Jeudy said. “It means that DT was with us today.”
