Almost 200 passengers on board the Boeing aircraft when pilots made a distress call.
A Jet2 flight from Glasgow to Mallorca had to make an emergency landing after it almost ran out of fuel.
Holidaymakers expected the routine flights would take two-and-a-half-hour flight to get them to Palma De Mallorca. The plane, with 187 passengers and six crew on board, was then left flying overhead 35,000ft in the sky. The distress call said “if they remained in flight, they would land with less than 1,159 kilos of fuel”.
