Jet2 has issued a warning for passengers flying from Manchester Airport this summer, advising them to "allow enough time" due to ongoing road works on the M56 between Junction 4 and Junction 7. National Highways is undertaking resurfacing works on both sides of the M56 between these junctions, with the project commencing on Monday, June 10.
Manchester Airport has also alerted passengers that "delays are expected" during the resurfacing period, which will involve overnight work on various dates throughout June, July, and August. Travellers are advised to "allow extra time for your journeys", reports the Manchester Evening News.In an online statement, Manchester Airport said: " National Highways are carrying out essential overnight resurfacing works on both sides of the M56 between Junction 4 and Junction 7.
