Jim Schlossnagle was introduced as the Aggies’ new baseball coach on Thursday, June 10, 2021, in the Hall of Champions at Kyle Field.COLLEGE STATION — Coach Jim Schlossnagle said his first Texas A&M team “looks good” preparing for the season — and then Schlossnagle offered a reminder on the bottom line of baseball.
He was part of the Beavers’ 2018 national title and will wear No. 12 at A&M. Schlossnagle said he recognizes the importance of the number at the “Home of the 12th Man” and will award it every year to a player who “truly defines the core values of our university and Aggie baseball.” Schlossnagle added that he’s been pleased with every single newcomer who arrived at A&M via another college program, what he dubbed a rarity.
