Jodie Foster beamed while being accompanied on Sunday by her glamorous wife Alexandra Hedison at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles It was her first Emmy nomination in an acting category after previously being nominated for producing the 1998 Showtime drama film The Baby Dance about adoption and for directing the 2013 Orange Is The New Black episode 'Lesbian Request Denied'.
During her speech, Jodie pointed out that the ceremony was occurring on her and Alexandra's 10th wedding anniversary, in footage taken by NBC LA. As Alexandra wiped a tear away from her eyes, Jodie continued in a more serious vein: 'I love you so much and I'm so grateful for the life we have together.'
In 2020, the actors took home their own respective Emmy Awards for their work on their hit series, Schitt's Creek, which they created and starred in for six seasons.
