Joe Hart lifted the lid on the early hurdles Brendan Rodgers had to overcome after replacing Ange Postecoglou as the former keeper declared his admiration for the way he slowly implemented his style on Celtic during his second coming.
The 37-year-old helped the Hoops to a domestic double last season and spoke of the tough job Rodgers had in replacing such a popular figure in the Aussie. Speaking on BBC after Celtic’s thrashing of the Slovaks, Hart said: “When Brendan Rodgers came in there was a few murmurs - it was his second tenure with the club - and Ange Postecoglou had really laid his stamp down.
