Joel Piroe scored the winner for Leeds United against Bristol City with a well-hit left-footed strike
Joel Piroe has admitted he wanted more goals against Bristol City on Saturday. The summer signing did bag the winner shortly after half-time but felt as though the game could have been put to bed earlier.
There was plenty of talk about where the 24-year-old would play against City, with fans desperate to see him chosen as an out-and-out striker. But Daniel Farke stuck to his guns, deploying him in the number 10 role - and was ultimately proven right.Firoe spoke post-match about his delight at the performance while caveating that point with a lust for more goals. He told LUTV: “Yes, of course . It’s good to have the three points and back-to-back wins. It’s always good and kicks you on as well.
Piroe also cast his verdict on Elland Road, a stadium that has greeted him warmly since his £10million move. The forward called the Leeds faithful “amazing” as he looked forward to gelling further over the international break.
