John Boyega has expressed concern after not being able to get hold of Jamie Foxx since April. ‘I’ve been calling, I’m just gonna keep on calling. He better pick up. Come on, Jamie!’
Speaking at the film’s premiere, which Jamie didn’t attend, John revealed that he’s tried and failed numerous times to make contact.
‘I wanted him to show up here, but you know, I know he’s dealing with what he’s dealing with, and we just wish him all the best,’ he said on the red carpet., he continued: ‘I’ve been calling, I’m just gonna keep on calling. He better pick up. Come on, Jamie!’ Jamie’s other co-stars in the sci-fi comedy, directed by newcomer Juel Taylor, also sent their best wishes to the movie and music industry veteran.
‘I wish Jamie all the recovery and healing. He’s just so amazing. It was just such an honour to work with him,’ said Dear White People star Teyonnah Parris.John says he’ll keep calling Jamie, hoping he’ll pick up ‘He’s so generous as an actor and as a human, along with John. I got lucky to be able to work with such dope men on this project – dope men of colour.’
