It means the Rangers will divide the catching for the time being between Mitch Garver, who has started nine games behind the plate in eight weeks since returning from a knee injury, and Sam Huff, who has not started a game behind the plate in the majors this year. The Rangers don’t have another catcher on the 40-man roster.The Rangers replaced Heim with the only player on the 40-man roster that has any MLB experience: outfielder Bubba Thompson.
