The former “Tudors” star will not spend any time behind bars and instead will serve a one-year probation after being arrested in November 2020.

The former “Tudors” star, 44, cut a plea deal that won’t land him any jail time and instead will serve a one-year summary probation,He was also reportedly ordered to pay a $500 fine and is required to complete an alcohol education and counseling program.

Meyers was arrested for misdemeanor DUI in November 2020 after getting into a car crash in Malibu, Calif. Police felt the Irish actor appeared intoxicated after the single-car collision and gave him a field sobriety test, which he failed. Meyers’ wife, Mara Lane, seemed to allude to his DUI on Instagram shortly after when she posted videos of their now-5-year-old son, Wolf, playing with his dad in a pool.

“I feel since so many of our lowlights seem to find their way on the web, fair to share some happy moments so when Wolf is older, he can search/find/see/remember the happies,” she captioned Meyers has long struggled with alcohol abuse. After finally getting sober, the “Bend It Like Beckham” star The “Tudors” alum’s wife, Mara Lane, previously apologized for some of his public behavior.
