Josie Gibson has publicly addressed for the first time her disappointment at losing the This Morning presenting role to Cat Deeley. Reportedly devastated and hurt by ITV 's decision, the Bristol-born TV star had aspired to follow in Holly Willoughby 's footsteps.
Phillip Schofield and Holly left the morning programme last year, leading to an array of guest presenters temporarily taking up the reins, among them I'm a Celeb star Josie, Craig Doyle, Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary, Rochelle Humes and Rylan Clark. A TV insider suggested that Josie was sorrowful about not being picked for the coveted spot, especially after making a positive impression on ITV bosses and becoming popular with viewers at home.
