Model Kaia Gerber shows off her take on the disco hair trend – ’80s hair really is having a moment.
Given the abundance of ’70s and ’80s hair references we’ve seen lately, it comes as no surprise that another week rolls around with yet another incarnation. This time, the purveyor of discotheque drama is model Kaia Gerber, who took to Instagram to show off her sparkly Celine dress. Never mind the sequins though – frankly, it was her halo of hair that we couldn’t take our eyes off. Expertly styled by New-York based stylist Hos Hounkpatin the effect was part perm, part frothy frizz.
To get Gerber’s soft, wispy texture a bristle brush, like La Bonne Brosse’s N.03 The Essential Soft Hair Brush, is invaluable as it helps gently pull curls apart, while adding a voluminous, diffused finish. Of course, if you're going to dance the night away , stylised frizz like this needs staying power to prevent it falling out and becoming limp and lifeless. For that, anything other than the iconic L’Oréal Paris Elnett Hairspray would be sacrilegious.
