Kanye West has reportedly filed to legally change his name to Ye
The rapper, whose stage name has been Ye for several years, has allegedly filed in Los Angeles courts, according to People, and gave only"personal reasons" for his decision to submit the documents.

Kanye explained in 2018 that he liked the name because of its religious significance, as well as being an abbreviation of his name. "I believe 'ye' is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible, it means 'you,'" he shared. "So I'm you, I'm us, it's us. It went from Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye — just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confusion, everything."The father-of-four has been working on his tenth album, Donda - named after his late mother - and it was set for release in July 2020 before being pushed back over a year.
