International Film Festival’s Eastern Promises industry strand has unveiled the winners of it’s five project showcases, which took place at the fest from July 2-4.

In the Works in Progress sidebar, the post-production development prize went to filmmaker Klára Tasovská for her feature. The pic is produced by Lukáš Kokeš. The jury said of the project: “For conveying in a culinary comedy a critical approach to today’s world, which praises the exaggerated packaging in daily life and social media, and presenting true friendship as the most delicious dish.”, directed by Assel Aushakimova and produced by Antoine Simkine, Almagul Tleukhanova, and Christian Fredrik Martin won the Works in Progress Karlovy Vary IFF Award. The project will receive a cash prize of 5,000 EUR, sponsored by Barrandov Studio.
