Kate Winslet has opened up about the moment she knew her husband was 'the one', recalling the harrowing experience when he saved her and her daughter from a fire on Sir Richard Branson's private island. The acclaimed 'Titanic' star, 47, tied the knot with Ned Rocknroll now known as Edward Abel Smith 12 years ago, and she's recently shared the tale of their dramatic meeting on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
She continued to sing his praises, saying, " looks after everybody. He's wonderful. We literally do life together, we really do." Winslet also revealed that when she first heard Ned had taken the surname 'Rocknroll', which he has since changed back to Abel Smith, she thought it was "brilliant". The actress shares her 10 year old son Bear with Ned, and gave him the middle name Blaze as a nod to their fire ordeal. Kate also has daughter Mia with her first husband Jim Threapleton, 50, and son Joe, 20, with her second husband, acclaimed filmmaker Sam Mendes, 59.
