The Memphis, Tennessee native is among the stars to serve as a presenter during the ceremony being held at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles that's being hosted by Dan Levy and his father Eugene Levy. Her co-star, Skye P. Marshall, who plays another lawyer named Olympia, ended up joining her on the red carpet for a round or two of poses together.
Before landing the lead role in Matlock, Bates had been flirting with the idea of retirement from acting, or at least 'contemplating semi-retirement,' as reported by a number of outlets such as USA Today.
