; and Izzie Pick Ibarra, showrunner for Fox'swill be honored for a March 2019 episode which raised awareness of sexual assault survivors. Debbie Allen directed the episode,"Silent All These Years," from a script written by Elisabeth R. Finch.
“There’s no doubt that this year has been indescribable – but one thing that has stayed consistent is the level of content that continues to be generated by and for women,” Becky Brooks, executive director, AWMF, said in a statement. Mickey Guyton is slated to perform twice at the event. Guyton, a Black, female country singer was nominated for new female vocalist of the year at the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards.
