Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has expressed his support for Sir Chris Hoy , who revealed in an interview with the Sunday Times yesterday that the cancer he had been receiving treatment for had been diagnosed as terminal.

"To face his diagnosis with such positivity is inspiring."Health secretary Wes Streeting also sent well-wishes, saying in a tweet: "I’m in awe that Chris Hoy is meeting his cancer with the same positivity and resilience that has defined his life and career.
Well-wishes have also come in droves from across the sporting world, including a slew of comments on his most recent Instagram post.
