Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has insisted Manchester United have the resources to fix their stadium issues and complete the Dan Ashworth deal at the same time., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – slammed Man United chiefs for not previously resolving the problems surrounding the roof at Old Trafford.
It comes as Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also looking to shake things up behinds the scenes, with Ashworth agreeing in February to leave his sporting director role at Newcastle United to join the club.
