A spin-off of the hit sitcom Black-ish, this series follows the two eldest Johnson children as they learn and grow while in college. The first four seasons followed Zoey Johnson while she attended Cal U, where she made new friends and mistakes along the way before eventually finding success. The fourth and fifth seasons follow Junior.
Junior, who was first introduced as Zoey's nerdy younger brother on Black-ish, is coming into his own as he goes from goofy little brother to big man on campus. While the series finale of Black-ish aired in 2022, Grown-ish is currently airing the first half of the final season. The second half will premiere in 2024. The season 6A finale will debut on Freeform on August 23.
More About Grown-ish In Screen Rant's exclusive clip from the midseason finale of Grown-ish's final season, Aaron Jackson, now a professor at Cal U, has had an accident. Aaron is dating fellow Cal U faculty member Professor Edie, played by Kelly Rowland. However, with the relationship getting more intense, Aaron suffers a major injury that lands him in the hospital.
Grown-ish was created by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris and Larry Wilmore. The series stars Marcus Scribner, Trevor Jackson, Diggy Simmons, Daniella Perkins, Justine Skye, and Tara Raani. The original star of the series, Yara Shahidi, returns periodically in season 6 as a recurring character. The final season also includes a ton of exciting guest stars, including Kelly Rowland, Omarion, NLE Choppa, Latto, and Lil Yachty.
The midseason finale of the final season of Grown-ish premieres on August 23, with the second half of the season debuting in 2024.
