Counselor to the President, Kellyanne Conway, continued her dispute with freshman congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over the representative's social media behavior.
Speaking on Hannity on Monday, Conway questioned why Ocasio-Cortez had tweeted about a Netflix documentary before addressing the attack. Ocasio-Cortez also blasted Trump’s response to Hurricane Maria—which devastated Puerto Rico and killed thousands—before accusing Conway of using the “horrifying” Sri Lanka attack to “stoke suspicion” about her Christian faith. “No one should be targeted for their religion,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “If you’re so moved, let’s do more to welcome immigrants fleeing religious persecution.”
“She said on Twitter, ‘I was away from tech, I was visiting my grandmother for Easter.’ I think that’s wonderful, but the very next day as they were picking through the rubble in Sri Lanka looking for survivors or the deceased, she had time to tweet about her Netflix documentary,” Conway said.
