Manchester City talisman Kevin De Bruyne raised concerns when he admitted he would be tempted by the money on offer in the Saudi Pro League and a potential transfer to the country.
Kevin De Bruyne says he will return to Manchester City after the European Championships, backtracking a little on recent comments admitting he would be open to a move to Saudi Arabia.
However, there are some concerns over how long he can maintain his levels at the top, and last week he said he would consider a move to Saudi Arabia given the money on offer from the Saudi Pro League. In a new interview, De Bruyne says there has been no contact with any club or league over a transfer and is planning on returning to the Etihad ahead of the new campaign.
"I saw him at the Club World Cup. I know Michael - then it makes sense for us to have a chat. But it wasn't about that.”In quotes relayed by HLN, De Bruyne added: “I’ll have a quiet summer. I’ll enjoy my holidays and will return to Man City afterwards. I assume there will be talks with City in the upcoming months."
“I signed my contract at the right time," he told Het Nieuwsblad. " If there is a good offer and you tell Pep that you want to leave, that is possible. This may be different at other clubs. But I have never indicated that I want to leave.”
