Kaumi Wright, of Harrisburg, represented himself at trial, maintained his innocence, and even apologized to female jurors 'on behalf of society.' The jury didn't believe him.

Kuami Wright told a Dauphin County jury that although he made some jokes throughout his trial while proclaiming his innocence, he believes the kidnapping and robbery of a 39-year-old Dauphin County woman was a serious matter. “To the women in the jury, I apologize to you on behalf of society,” Kuami Wright said in a Dauphin County courtroom Monday morning, acting as his own lawyer.
But a mere three hours later, the jury came back and said they didn’t believe him, finding him guilty of kidnapping, robbery and terroristic threats. The quick verdict came after six days of testimony spread over three weeks. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
