Reality TV personality and entrepreneur Jonathan Cheban, a longtime friend of Kim Kardashian, was robbed at gunpoint of a $250,000 watch in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.
Cheban was with his mother and a friend Sunday when a man pointed a handgun at his mother's head before taking Cheban's Richard Millie watch, according to a"It was a horrific experience, but thankfully we are fine," Cheban, who goes by Foodgod, said in a statement."I left Manhattan for the suburbs, and the crime is following."
Englewood Cliffs police said they responded to a report of an armed robbery on East Bayview Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. A search was launched for two suspects who were believed to have fled to Route 9W, police said. Police did not identify Cheban by name. Police said the suspect — described as a man in his late 20s to early 30s — approached Cheban in the driveway of a home on East Bayview Avenue and asked for the time before pulling out a silver semiautomatic handgun.
The suspect then"forcibly removed" the watch from Cheban, causing a minor wrist injury, before fleeing to meet up with a second suspect, described as a heavy-set man in a gray sweater. Authorities said the gunman was wearing a purple shirt, light-blue jeans and white and gray sneakers, and they released a sketch of the man.
