Insiders have claimed the King is using as a way to extend olive branches to his family members
King Charles is going to use his Coronation to mend the rifts within his family, according to palace insiders. It was announced earlier this week that Prince Harry would be joining his estranged family for the historic celebrations, while his wife Meghan Markle remains in the US with their two children.
Insiders have told The Telegraph that the King is using as a way to extend olive branches to his family members as he intends to "mend" the division within The Firm. Sources said that Charles is reportedly very happy his youngest son is making the trip to the UK, and has been described as being in a "quite forgiving" mood.
One source added to the publication that the "gulf" between the once close brothers is now so large they cannot see how their relationship can ever be repaired. Another insider told The Telegraph that "there's a warmth around the place and a proper rallying around the King, who in turn is showing some serious EQ [emotional intelligence] by ensuring the family is given the opportunity to pull together."
