Clutch free throws lift Klein Oak boys past Cypress Springs, into first regional tournament

T.J. Robinson nailed two free throws, his only points of the game, after getting fouled on a 3-point attempt with 0.9 seconds left to send Klein Oak to the regional tournament for the first time in program history with a 52-51 victory over Cypress Springs. “Every day after practice we all line up, we all shoot free throws, if we don’t make a certain number, we run, we do it again and that was it right there,” Ervin said.
“In basketball, you’re going to need some lucky bounces. …That was a very lucky bounce, we were fortunate to be at the right spot, at the right time and then the player who deserved to knock the free throws down, he knocked them down,” Ervin said.
