An estimated 100 Post Office workers were wrongly prosecuted in Scotland after they were blamed for shortfalls in their accounts caused by a faulty IT system.
Labour has pledged to table legislation at the Scottish Parliament to pardon sub-postmasters caught up in the Horizon scandal if the SNP Government "fails to act".
But this Bill will not apply to Scotland as prosecutions linked to the Horizon scandal were brought by the Crown Office. Scottish Labour has now said it will intervene and table its own legislation if the SNP fails to do so.Labour MSP Michael Marra said: "The false conviction of hundreds of sub-postmasters is one of the worst miscarriages of justice in our country’s history and there is no time to waste in righting this wrong.
