Labour claims Rishi Sunak has 'lost control of MPs' after Scott Benton filmed in undercover sting
The Labour party claims Rishi Sunak has 'lost control of his own MPs' after Blackpool South MP Scott Benton was filmed by undercover reporters in a London hotel.
During the meeting, Mr Benton appears to suggest he would be happy to be paid between up to £4,000 a month to help the company. Footage shows him boast about his personal access to top ministers, as well as reportedly offering to leak confidential documents ahead of their publication.
A Labour spokesperson said: "This appears to be yet another example of a Tory MP indicating he’d be willing to commit a serious breach of the rules to line his own pockets. Rishi Sunak has lost control of his own MPs. He must get a grip of this new wave of Tory sleaze and take immediate action to stop this shameful cash for questions scandal spiralling even further.
