There was a single Spanish-language interpreter who was briefly available Monday, but because of a trial in another courtroom requiring her services, she was unable to translate for Lomeli-Osuna’s preliminary hearing, which is expected to run for three to four hours. “The people are ready to proceed today,” said Deputy District Attorney Ian Harris, who noted that he subpoenaed several witnesses to testify on Monday.
