Lancashire Met Office weather forecast for half-term after hottest day of the year
Lancashire is set for a glorious half-term week after the county basked in its hottest day of the year so far.
The week includes the third Bank Holiday of May as part of the school holidays, meaning there's lots of events and activities available for people to enjoy during the fine weather. Forecaster Simon Partridge said the UK is seeing “hints of summer”. For Monday, the Met Office predicts: "Dry once again with sunny spells, though perhaps some more cloud around than of late. Light winds and feeling pleasantly warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Meanwhile, travel experts are warning of busy roads over the bank holiday break. People are also being advised to take care if they plan to cool off by swimming in rivers or lakes.Today: Another dry and bright day for most with spells of sunshine. Feeling a little cooler compared to on Saturday but still pleasantly warm in the sunshine. Turning breezier around coasts later. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
