“It's truly an amazing, selfless act to be true volunteers,” said Lancaster County Chairman of Commissioners Ray D’Agostino.
“You are not going to buy a new house with this. It's just a little bit of an incentive,” said Chief Bradley Dauberman of the Shrewsbury Fire Company. “The cumulative effect of this, if we build this up, we can have a pretty nice package for the volunteers,” said Chief Dauberman. “We need to make sure that we have recruitment and retention here for our volunteers who put their lives and property at risk to save others,” said Chairman D’Agostino.
