Stephanie Thorpe died in hospital after she collapsed at the Restricted Forest Festival at Witton Park in Blackburn in June 2023
Music festivals at a Lancashire park have been put on hold following the sudden death of a beloved mum last year.
Friends paid tribute to an 'amazing, funny, irreplaceable' mum after her tragic death. She was pronounced dead at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Sunday, June 25, following the festival held the day before. Mr Lawrenson apologised to "thousands of people" who would have attended this year's events but says events have been temporarily suspended as a mark of respect. He said: "Restricted Events have operated events successfully in Witton Park for seven years and these include Restricted Forest and Restricted Rocks."
