It is hoped that the Paddington South project could supercharge the city's crucial sectors
Work has begun on Liverpool's next big development hope and the next stage in the city's flagship £1bn Knowledge Quarter hub. Liverpool City Council has announced that work has started on a plot of land called Paddington South. Paddington South is the next phase of the Paddington Village development, which is part of the wider Knowledge Quarter and currently includes The Spine building and the Novotel hotel.
Once delivered, this former brownfield site will become the engine room for the delivery of our wider Investment Zone plans for the coming decade and beyond. “I’m delighted that sustainability and creating a new green lung in the city is a key focus of this world-class development and I look forward to seeing the masterplan for the site take shape and develop.” The development of Paddington South is being carried out in collaboration with the University of Liverpool .
