The same man is believed to have stabbed and injured a second victim the same day.
After fatally stabbing Woodrow Wilson Senior High School student Xavier Chavarin around 3:55 p.m. Friday in the 4500 block of Valley Boulevard, the suspect approached a 33-year-old man around 8:55 p.m. in the 5400 block of Valley Boulevard and stabbed him several times without warning, police said.
Police released a description of the suspect Tuesday, describing him as Hispanic with long wavy black hair and a long beard. He was wearing the same clothes during both stabbings — a long black jacket, a black shirt underneath, black pants and black shoes. In the first assault he was seen wearing a black baseball hat with white lettering. In the second incident, he was riding a skateboard during the assault.Anyone with information regarding the stabbings was encouraged to call Central Bureau Homicide Detectives J. Calzadillas or S.
