Large hail, damaging winds possible in parts of North Texas late Thursday txwx
A cold front expected to move through North Texas late Thursday into early Friday could produce storms with strong winds and large hail, but severe weather is not expected for most of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms are expected to develop “way off to the north and northwest” of Dallas-Fort Worth late Thursday afternoon before filling in and moving across the area in the overnight hours going into Friday, Dunn said. Storms should clear out of the area by Friday morning, said Hunter Reeves, a meteorologist for the weather service in Fort Worth.
