The Hall of Famer, who died in December, received one more big honor this week.
The former Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers running back, who died in December, had a street named after him in his hometown of Mount Holly, New Jersey this week.Harris’s sister, Luana, reportedly said at the event.
“He was the best. I truly miss him. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate him than to have Franco Harris Way on the street we grew up on. This is our home. Franco would love this.” Harris won’t just get the street, though. Mount Holly has also made December 23 Franco Harris Day. That is the date of the “Immaculate Reception.”
