A new law beefing up the rights of bereaved families will be included in Scottish Labour 's manifesto next week.
Her mum Kimberly Darroch only learned about the infection link when she read the claims of a whistleblower in the Daily Record two years later. In a speech in Edinburgh, Sarwar said: "As many of you will know, a campaign that is really close to my heart is the fight to uncover the truth about the infections scandal at that hospital.
"And I can confirm that our party’s manifesto, when it is published next week, will set out our commitment to introducing Milly’s Law. This will create an independent public advocate with the authority to investigate incidents to establish the truth.
