No evidence that Hezbollah leadership was involved in 2005 bombing that killed former Lebanese PM Rafik Hariri, says tribunal

"The evidence also established that Mr. Ayyash had affiliation with Hezbollah," Braidy said. Ayyash faces charges of committing a terrorist attack and homicide, among others. Four members of the Hezbollah, are on trial in absentia at the court in the Netherlands over the huge Beirut truck bombing on February 14, 2005.

Hariri's assassination plunged Lebanon into what was then its worst crisis since the war, setting the stage for years of confrontation between rival political forces.The Iran-backed Shia group Hezbollah has denied any involvement in the February 14, 2005 bombing.
