Leeds Festival boss Melvin Benn has issued a major update about this week’s event and discussed its two new stages.
He’s commented on the expectation the event is expected to sell out while praising the two new stages on-site this year. The Chevron, featuring the world’s first floating video canopy, and The Aux stage, a first of its kind live stage for the UK’s digital content creators. As we’ve previously reported, Melvin has referred to the introduction of the Aux stage as a ‘no-brainer’. He said: “One of the things that a festival has to do is maintain a relevance to its audience. The Aux Stage really represents a cultural phenomenon that’s becoming mainstream.
