Officers want to identify those responsible
A man has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed by a gang of men trying to steal his friend's electric bike in Leeds.
West Yorkshire Police were called to Garton Grove in East End Park at 4.36pm on Thursday, November 3, to reports of a stabbing. The victim, a 28-year-old man, was found with stab wounds to his arm and leg and was rushed to hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, a police spokesperson has confirmed. Officers say that he was attacked by a group of men that he had confronted after they tried to steal his friend's electric bike. They are now continuing enquiries to identify those responsible.A spokesperson said: “At 4.36pm yesterday, police were called to a report of a man having been stabbed in an incident in Garton Grove, East End Park, Leeds.
“It was established that the victim had been assaulted by one of a group of males that he and a friend had confronted after they tried to steal the friend’s electric bike. Detectives from Leeds District CID are continuing enquiries to identify those responsible. “Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact officers via 101 quoting crime reference 13220607948 or online .Information can be given anonymously the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
