Leeds United's summer signings were among the star performers as Daniel Farke's side recorded an impressive away victory at Millwall. Joel Piroe's brace and a late strike from Georginio Rutter were enough to ease the Whites to a 3-0 win at the Den on Sunday afternoon.
Piroe opened the scoring after just 15 minutes, coolly applying the finishing touch to a swift counter-attack after being found in the box by Rutter. The former Swansea City striker then doubled his tally 13 minutes' from time, following a scuffed effort from substitute Daniel James which found the 24-year-old unmarked in front of goal.
Rutter then added gloss to the scoreline as he confidently dispatched a one-on-one to put the match beyond Millwall. Leeds' second Championship victory of the season has lifted them to 10th in the table, with a midweek encounter at Hull City to come.Farke made one change to his starting eleven for the clash in the capital, with Sam Byram returning to the team and Jamie Shackleton dropping to the bench.
