A whistle-blower settlement with Attorney General Ken Paxton shouldn’t be paid for by taxpayer dollars, writes a letter writer.Re: “Ex-aides will get $3.3M from Paxton,” Front Page, Feb. 11:
There is something seriously wrong with Texas laws that allow this insanity. It’s up to the Texas Legislature to stop the taxpayer payment and hold Paxton personally and financially accountable. I would bet then that Paxton wouldn’t do the the same thing again!Re: “Stakes too high for theatrics on debt ceiling,” Editorial, Feb. 7:
Yes, they should have made changes when they were in power, but this is typical of both sides of the aisle. Those in power do everything to benefit their “side” without regard for the overall effect.
