Given the suffering of unhoused or “homeless” citizens in most of our communities and the Herculean efforts of elected officials and others trying to help them, mischaracterizing the shortage of affordable housing as a sham, as Mark Fernwood of Danville did on this Opinion Page , is irresponsible at best.
You can tell when you have arrived in Concord from any direction by the immediate transition from good road surfaces in Walnut Creek or Pleasant Hill, to the tire- and suspension-ruining road surfaces in Concord.PG&E is failing atkeeping the lights on PG&E’s job is to deliver uninterrupted electrical power, and they are not doing their job. The undergrounding of our power lines is expensive, so some serious budgeting is required to make it happen.
And of course, PG&E continues raising rates, and I do expect the next bill I get will be in the four figures.Push elected officialsto protect the oceans
